In Loglogo Ward, Marsabit County, the land is dry, the sun unforgiving, and the winds often carry more dust than rain. Here, where climate change is not a theory but a daily struggle, RETO-AP saw the need for action and began with the youngest hearts.
Exactly one year ago, we launched the first Environmental Clubs in 2 Loglogo schools. The mission was simple but powerful: teach children to care for the earth, even when it seems barren. With training, guidance, and a vision for a greener future, the children planted Neem trees, known for their resilience in harsh climates.
🌱 The photo above shows the impact one year later.
These children now sit under the shade of the trees they planted, a living symbol of hope, healing, and the climate resilience they are building together.
The Neem trees are no longer fragile seedlings. They’ve taken root, just like the values of stewardship and sustainability in the hearts of these young climate champions. Where there was once nothing but dry ground, there is now shade, joy, and learning.
From just a few tree seedlings and a dream, a small revolution is growing quietly, greenly in the heart of Loglogo.
At RETO-AP, we believe every tree planted is a step toward healing the land and the community’s soul. In the growing shade of these trees, we see a generation rising not just to survive climate change but to fight it with hope and action.
“We are not too small to make a difference. We started with one tree, now we sit under a forest of hope.”
